How do we get our marriage license?
Apply online through NYC's Project Cupid, then visit a City Clerk office in person — both of you, with valid photo ID. The license costs $35, there's a 24-hour waiting period, and it's valid for 60 days. Visiting couples usually get it in the first day or two of their trip. We'll walk you through every step.
Do we need a witness?
Yes — New York requires one witness. If it's just the two of you, your photographer serves as your witness at no extra cost. Problem solved.
Do we need a permit for Central Park?
Yes, and we handle it. Every package includes securing your Central Park wedding permit — one less thing for you to think about.
How many guests can we bring?
Our sweet spot is 20 or fewer — the day stays intimate and relaxed. Groups of up to 40–50 are possible at larger spots like Bethesda Terrace, but big group photos eat into your couple portraits, so we keep it honest with you about the trade-off.
We're traveling from another country. How does this work?
Most of our couples do exactly this. Arrive in New York, get your license at the City Clerk, meet us in the park for your ceremony and portraits, and fly home married. Alexandra guides you on timing, locations and flowers — many couples have their bouquet waiting at the hotel.
Can the ceremony be in Spanish?
Absolutely — English, Spanish, or bilingual. Alexandra moves naturally between both languages so every guest feels included.
What happens if it rains?
We watch the forecast with you. Light rain often makes for magical photos; for real downpours we shift timing or find covered beauty in the park (Bethesda Terrace's arcade is a classic).
How do we book?
Message Alexandra on WhatsApp or email her at [email protected]. She confirms your date, helps you choose your spot and flowers, and takes it from there. A deposit reserves your date.
Who will officiate and photograph our wedding?
Alexandra is your point of contact from the first message to the final photo — she personally oversees every wedding. Your ceremony is officiated by Alexandra or one of our trusted bilingual officiants, and your portraits are taken by Joan or one of our trusted associate photographers. You will always know exactly who your team is before the day.
Can we add photography time or flowers to the Express package?
Yes — the Express is designed to be simple, but we're flexible. Tell Alexandra what you have in mind and she'll make it work.
We're from another country — how do we make our marriage valid back home?
Many countries require an Apostille on your marriage certificate to register the marriage. You can obtain one in New York before you fly home — ask Alexandra and she'll point you in the right direction.
What kind of ceremony can we have?
Whatever reflects you: civil, religious or spiritual touches, interfaith, vow renewals — every ceremony is personalized around your beliefs, culture and traditions. Your wedding, your way.
Can we write our own vows?
Yes. Choose from our ceremony scripts, bring your own vows and readings, or mix both — Alexandra helps you shape every word.
